   Hartselle's schools can be summed up in one word "excellence". The staff of our schools is a group of dedicated, caring, professionals who strive daily to keep our children's minds excelling to the highest potential of their academic pursuits. Through Barkley Bridge, Crestline & Burleson Elementary, Hartselle Junior High School and Hartselle High School the staff of all our schools come together to make educational excellence a team effort.

   The staff of Hartselle City Schools is committed to maintaining a comprehensive and sequential instructional program to offer a quality education to each child attending school in Hartselle. The school system has 230 certified employees; 70 percent hold advanced level degrees; and the average teaching experience is fourteen years. Teachers are evaluated by strong system developed program, and skills are constantly upgraded through professional development.

   Hartselle students consistently rank in the top ten in statewide achievement testing and perform above the state and national average in all areas of Stanford Achievement Test. One-half of the graduates yearly score above the national average on ACT with 80% of graduates going to college. Students have captured numerous first-place awards in state and national competitions, and many have been named National Merit Finalist.

   For the students with musical interests, our schools offer outstanding music programs at every level of education. These opportunities include for elementary students, chorus at every grade level. At the Junior High, Girl's Chorus, Concert Chorus and Beginning Band. At the High School level is offered Girl's Chorus, Concert Chorus, and Performers along with Marching, Concert, and Jazz Band. The students compete in district and statewide competitions and consistently receive superior ratings.

   Our sports programs are second to none in our school system. The Hartselle Tigers are champion competitors year after year. Many students participate in football, track, wrestling, gymnastics, baseball, softball, soccer and boys and girls basketball.    The school systems are fully accredited by both the state of Alabama and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
