SUMMARY:Hartselle Works Career Fair
DESCRIPTION:Hartselle City Schools\, under the leadership of Jeff Hyche Career Tech Instructional Planner\, is partnering with the Hartselle Area Chamber to provide a hands-on career expo event for students in 6th-12th grades. Scheduled for Friday\, October 29th from 8:30am to 1:30pm\, approximately 1\,800 students will participate in a fun\, age-appropriate\, introduction to the diverse career opportunities in our area. Professionals from the Hartselle area will engage students in activities that will help explain how different careers are developed and how to prepare for a specific field of study. After attending the expo\, students will be activated to pursue a career pathway of one of the many business and industries in our area. \n\n \n\nOver the past 10 years\, Hartselle City Schools has demonstrated a commitment to help students identify their talents and find pathways to engage those talents in our local workforce. They play a central role in the community's vision of "growing our own" workforce. They currently offer 12 Career Academies providing challenging\, project-based\, applied training exposing students to potential career fields. The HARTSELLE WORKS! event is a key part of planting seeds in our students and growing talent for a strong future-workforce that will support our community.\n\n \n\nYOU are INVITED to be a part of this fun and inspiring day! As a business leader\, participating in this event enables you to share your passion for your profession and to facilitate our gifted students to stay in our community. We are currently recruiting business and industry professionals to showcase their profession on this day. As you consider your participation\, think about ways to attract 12 to 18 year old's to engage with you!
