Easter drive thru

Wanted to share information on an event that we have coming up. Our VFW Post, and it's VFW Auxiliary, decided this year, instead of holding our annual Easter egg hunt at our Post, we would reach out into our community, to see where we could help bring a little joy. We are pleased to be hosting an Easter drive thru event at Feeding the Families of Alabama in Hartselle, on Saturday April 3rd from 11am till we run out of baskets. Our VFW Post is providing a snack lunch for the children, Auxiliary, with other donations provided through Feeding the Families, are providing an Easter basket for every child. We are anticipating roughly 200 children will show up. Do to Covid-19, we will not do an egg hunt, however the Easter Bunny himself will be there, with the help of his assistance, handing out lunch, and baskets to all the children, Parents will be allowed to have pictures taken with the Easter Bunny, if they choose, but only one car at a time. Oh! Also, prior to this event, we had a book drive, and collected 200 children books, which will go in the baskets. Book drive was so successful that we have already collected over 100 + books, as someone kind man is building two library boxes for Feeding the Families.
