Urban Altered is an alterations shop/boutique that specializes in alterations on women’s formal wear. We have the ability to alter wedding gowns, prom/pageant gowns, MOB/MOG dresses, and bridesmaids dresses. We also have a super cute boutique at the front of our store where we have the latest fashion trends, perfect gifts for the perfect bride, fit accessories, and other cute gifts.
We are looking for a dependable, well organized, and highly motivated individual to join our fun and exciting environment. We are looking for a receptionist to be able to work either full time or part time. Our store hours are Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00 and Saturday 10:00-4:00. Must be willing to work every other Saturday. Pay starting at $12 an hour with commission on all of your retail sales.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answer phones in a courteous and polite manner
- Greet incoming customers with a smile and assist customers as needed
- Schedule alterations appointments and explain alterations process
- Receive mail and packages; check items for damage/correct order received
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
Qualification Requirements:
- Effective communication skills for phone calls and in-person customer engagement
- Confidence to discuss the alteration process and communicate with customers about items in the store
- The ability to manage a cash drawer and check customers out
- Must have a high school diploma
