    President / CEO

  • My husband David and I along with our 5 children relocated to Hartselle from Charlotte, North Carolina in June of this year.  David is a Hartselle High School alumnus and his extended family resides in the area. He and I met at Auburn University where I graduated with a degree in Communications.  My set of professional experiences includes a number of positions both with for-profit businesses such as Westinghouse Electric and Chrysler Corporation and in the non-profit industry like The Greater Charlotte YMCA, St Giles Presbyterian Church and Christ Covenant Church/Covenant Day School. Most recently, I worked right here in Hartselle with the City Schools serving as a Teachers Aide with 7th & 8th graders at the Junior High School.  In these roles, I was responsible for business administration, financial management, board, committee and volunteer management, membership recruitment and retention, continuing education/youth development and new program development.

I thank the HACC Board of Directors for this leadership opportunity. I recognize I have a lot to learn and I intend to invest time and attention to get to know and understand Hartselle’s culture; industry and community. I stand with the HACC board in its commitment to promote the economic and social well-being of the people of the Hartselle Area.

Lastly, we have a great team of volunteers who have invested generously in the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce, but our strength is in each and every member’s participation.  Please consider how you might get involved to work with the HACC to improve the overall quality of life and standard of living for our total community.  I will be reaching out individually to you soon to walk through some great ways to use your chamber membership to grow your business.  Feel free to reach out to me at any time; I am happy to hear from you.

  • Though not technically a native, I have loved the city of Hartselle since I moved here with my family at just four years old. I attended Hartselle City Schools from K-12 and graduated with honors in 2006 from Hartselle High School. In 2011, I received my Bachelor of Music Degree from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and have subsequently done career work in music publishing, music education, and church administration. Since 2006, I have lived and worked in Mississippi, New York, Tennessee, England, and Kentucky, but I have found that Hartselle is truly my home. My husband and I moved our family back to Hartselle in 2017 and now reside here with our children, Hank, Chet, and Mollie Jane and our dog, Merle.

I am so excited and honored to join the staff at the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce as Director of Administration and Events. I am passionate and motivated to live out HACC’s mission of building a healthy economy and improving the quality of life in Hartselle and the surrounding areas. In my role, I aim to do this by getting to better know the businesses and individuals in our special city and by serving alongside you as we aim to grow, improve, and prosper the home that we love. I look forward to the future relationships that will be formed and the success that we will achieve together.

    Director of Membership and Marketing

  • I have spent the better part of the last twenty years in advertising media sales.  I have worked with local and regional business owners and media buyers to build successful campaigns with radio, TV, print, and digital components.  I served on the Executive Board for the American Advertising Federation of North Alabama for three years as Treasurer and Membership Chair.  I also spent five years in the classroom as a teacher in Texas, Arizona, and Virginia.  I love problem-solving through challenges and embrace change because I can see past the negative aspects of each and look forward to possibilities for both personal and professional growth.

As a resident of Hartselle for over ten years, my husband, Neal, and daughter, Brooke, have been nutured by the power of our community and love of our neighbors.  I see the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce’s mission as powerful because I want to see our community continue to grow towards the future.  Through building a healthy economy by supporting local businesses and industries, we will further improve the quality of life for ourselves, our children, and our extended families.  In doing so, we will continue to make the Hartselle area a better place to live, work, and play.  In my new role, outside of my daily essential tasks, I am most interested in nurturing our current member connections as well as connecting with new members through program coordination, public relations, media support, and events.

Personally, I am beyond excited to help our community grow and create opportunities for the next generation of residents, entrepreneurs, and professionals who will represent the future of the Hartselle area.  I aspire to represent our organization with integrity and pride as a pivotal collaborator and comprehensive project manager.
